Fred Klooster has been the Centre Manager in Ponoka since its inception in 2002. He is a very competent person who came out of retirement to serve 16 men and provide the love, dignity and respect that is due all humans. Fred makes the Champion's Centre 'home', very warm and cozy, which is evident in the way he has personally decorated the common areas. We are fortunate to have a person of his caliber who puts the needs of his tenants before his own. Brenda Messenger, manager of the Medicine Hat Centre and the House in Redcliff brings 20 years of experience in working with seniors, cooking, laundry, and house keeping. Her heart of serving and caring for the men at the Centre is shown through her constant vigil for their health and well being. She has been with the Medicine Hat Centre almost since it opened in 2006. Thirteen men are under her care. Trained by former manager, Helen Sturgari, she is very dedicated to meeting the needs of not only her tenants but those needing a hot meal. The Medicine Hat Centre operates a weekend Hot Meal Program serving over seventy five marginalized people a day.
Neil Earl, manager in Brooks, has years of experience in managing a large Seniors Facility plus many years working for the health and well being of others. With his winning personality, love and care for those less fortunate, Neil is an execellent manager. Presently he is involved in completing minor renovations. The Centre opened October 1, 2009. Please feel free to drop by the Brooks Centre and lend a hand.
