The Organization

The Champion's Centre Inc. is a national charitable corporation run by a board of directors and local advisory boards. Our purpose is to:
1. Provide room and board for the disadvantaged.
2. Aspire to teach daily living skills.
3. Empower residents to make positive life choices.
4. Encourage community interaction through effective businesses, chapel cafe
and volunteerism.
5. Provide a home that helps meet the need of our target population.

Our Committment

The Champion's Centre Inc. is committed to providing a Christian home environment for all our residents. We believe that every human life is precious in the eyes of the Creator and therefore should be treated with dignity and respect. We are dedicated to "whole person" development.

Our Funding

With the expansion into other communities the Champion's Centre has been fortunate to receive core funding for the continuing position of the Exectutive Director as well as a new position of Assistant Director. Funding comes from several sources including:
the Alberta Real Estate Foundation $85,221 four years (2007)
the Wild Rose Foundation $49,989 two years (2009)
the Community Spirit Program $18,688.82 (2009)

Mission Statement

The Champion's Centre Inc., a Christian organization, is dedicated to serving the marginalized of our society, in a supportive room and board setting. Our vision is to see one or more Champion's Centres in every major city across Canada. Our tenants, are individuals who face significant barriers to independent living. These barriers include health issues, mental illness, economic obstacles, acquired brain injuries, visual impairment and other impediments.

Our Goal

To expand our services as needs and opportunities present themselves in these or other communities right across Canada.
